"Battlin'" Bob Cray (born March 14, 1942) is an American former professional boxer who competed during the 1960s until an unknown time. He competed in the Heavyweight Division and was nicknamed "Battlin" due to being a journeyman in the sport. He is a playable character in Rocky (video game) & Rocky Legends.

Professional CareerEdit

Bob Cray (born March 14, 1942) was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He competed in the Heavyweight Division for many years. He was considered a journeyman due to the number of years he fought. Cray never captured the Heavyweight Championship during his career.

During his prime, Cray was described as a seasoned fighter with an amazing chin, it was mentioned that he could take just about any shot.[1]


  • It was rumoured that Bob Cray sparred with Apollo Creed in Rocky II.
