Jack Jarrell (born 1949) is an American former professional boxer who competed during the 1980s until an unknown time. He competed in the Heavyweight Division and was nicknamed "Jackhammer". Jarrell also served an unknown amount of time in a Chicago State Penitentiary. He is a playable character in Rocky Legends.
In the year 1977, Jack Jarrell was locked up in a Chicago State Penitentiary for unknown reasons. At the time, future Heavyweight Champion, Clubber Lang was serving time in the same prison. Jarrell and Lang had a heated confrontation that almost culminated in them throwing punches, but it was quickly broken up by the guards. The guards then arranged a boxing tournament that would take place in the prison, with Jarrell facing Lang. Lang defeated Jarrell and was released from prison shortly after. Jarrell threated Lang before he left, telling him that he should hide because he would be sending some friends on the outside to look for him. Eventually, Jarrell would pursue boxing full-time, turning pro upon his release from prisom in 1980.[1]

Jarrell is well-known for his amateur boxing match in a Chicago State Penitentiary against Former Heavyweight Champion, Clubber Lang. The fight took place before Lang's championship victory and rise to fame, Lang defeated Jarrell. It is unknown what Jarrell's professional boxing record was.
During his prime, Jarrell was described as a big boxer with a mean streak. He was considered ultra-violent and extremely aggressive, he was known for his dirty tactics and would punch, bite, or even headbutt in order to win. Jarrell's punches packed a lot of power. He was also known for being able to absorb and soak up damage.[2]
