Professional Career

Kofi Langton (born 1963) was born and raised in The Congo. He competed in the Heavyweight Division for several years but was never able to capture the Heavyweight Championship.

During his prime, Langton was described as having outstanding hand speed and could memorise his opponents with his cat-like quickness.[1]

  • Langton appeared in Rocky V but he actually went under a different name, known as Jeff Langton in the film (a real boxer), his likeness made the video game but his real identity did not due to Jeff being white and Kofi being black. Incidentally, he was knocked out by Tommy Gunn rather quickly in their bout.
