Las Vegas, Nevada is the American city where the MGM Grand, a well known and glamourous casino and hotel which also has a boxing ring structured inside, is located. This city served as the backdrop for the bout where Apollo Creed died at the hands of Soviet amateur boxing champion Ivan Drago in a well-publicized exhibition fight. Mason Dixon also resided there while training for his fight with Rocky Balboa in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa.
