Phylicia Rashād (born Phylicia Ayers-Allen; June 19, 1948) is an American actress, singer and stage director. She is best known as Clair Huxtable from The Cosby Show. She also appeared in the spin-off A Different World. She portrayed Mary Anne Creed in the spin-off film Creed.
She appeared in other films such as Just Wright, For Colored Girls and Good Deeds.
