Tim Simms (born December 2, 1961) was an Australian former professional boxer who competed during the 1980s until an unknown time. He competed in the Heavyweight Division and was nicknamed "Bushwhacker". He is a playable character in Rocky (video game).

In 1989 (Rocky V), Simms fought rising star Tommy Gunn, Gunn knocked Simms out. This fight is significant for being the last fight that former Heavyweight Champion, Rocky Balboa managed Gunn before Gunn left him for George Washington Duke.[1]

Professional Career

Tim Simms (born December 2, 1961) was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. He competed in the Heavyweight Division for several years but was never able to capture the Heavyweight Championship. The closest Simms ever got to the title was when he fought rising star Tommy Gunn, If Simms was able to win the fight, it would have propelled him into a title shot, but unfortunately for Simms, he was knocked out by Gunn.

During his prime, Simms used his squat heavy frame to throw massive jaw-breaking punches and had an uncanny recovery rate, just when you thought you'd nailed him, he seemed to just shake it off and get back into the fight.[2]
